Panelled Rooms
At Aubrey Green, our small team of skilled French
polishers has been involved in a number of fully panelled rooms
requiring care from full re-polishing to cleaning and maintenance.
We work on all types of woods and finishes from the waxing of oak
(using our own recipe for wax) to highly polished Victorian finishes.
Using our knowledge and experience, we are able
to match new or original panels to the required colour.
Extra care is taken to ensure the correct staining colour for each
individual project.

Walnut Room
This is an Edwardian walnut panelled committee
room. The restoration of this room was undertaken sympathetically
with regard to the south facing aspect. We felt it was important
to restore this room to a warm faded colour, which it would
have achieved naturally with age. |

Main Boardroom,
Norwich Union
This is a panelled mahogany boardroom
designed by architect George Skipper. We were retained
to
restore this room, stripping and staining to colour then
repolishing to the appropriate finish of the period. We
also restored
an identical boardroom by the same architect which was panelled
in walnut. |

Mahogany and Satinwood Panelled Room
This is a mahogany and satinwood panelled
room which was repolished to a rich mahogany colour. The importance
of this project was keeping the satinwood free from discolouration. |
